OUR STORY

Urban Fresh Produce is a black-owned Urban Farming operation located at the Just Food Community Farm (2391 Pepin Court) in Blackburn Hamlet. Urban Fresh was founded by Chadwick Lewis whom is originally from Saint Lucia. He farmed there for two years with his great uncle on the family estate producing over 25 different types of crops. Chadwick is also a graduate of the Algonquin College Horticulture Program. He has a passion for cultivating the land and in turn providing others with healthy food options.

WHO WE ARE

We are black-owned farm business dedicated to sustainable food production and improved food security within our community. We aim to accomplish the above mentioned in the following ways: 

1. Produce high quality food and food products to supply to the community.

2. Empower persons to grow their own food by supplying high quality organic plants and providing garden installation and consulting services.

3. Work with you to create the next generation of farmers which in turn will improve food security.

We provide various vegetables with different varieties of each type. From week to week, we will announce what crop is available at the market or at the Farm for pickup. This ensures that you receive the freshest crop available.

Choose whether you would like to pick up in the East, West or Downtown. Delivery options available in Ottawa for a delivery fee.
